A lecturer at the department of International Relations at the Elizade University in Ondo State, Dr Tunde Fajimbola has hailed the Supreme Court for deregistering 22 political parties ahead of the next general election

He made this known while featuring on Crest Fm Political Programme, The Platform where he noted that the inactivity of the parties couple with performance at previous elections was enough for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to sanitize the process.

Fajimbola however diffused hopes of the promotion of party ideology from continuous deregistering of parties as those that should do so are not loyalist of the tennents of political ideology

It would be recalled that INEC had previously deregistered 74 political parties over poor performance and inactivity before the Supreme Court confirmed the delisting of 22 of them, thereby putting the number of political parties in the Country currently at 68.
