An historian and lecturer in the department of history and international studies, at the University of Benin, Felix Osarhiemen, believes there is nothing wrong with the choice of the Muslim-Muslim ticket if it will bring the desired growth and development to Nigeria.
Osarhiemen, who was reacting to the choice of Kashim Shettima as running mate to the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu while speaking on the Crest Breakfast Show yesterday said the sentiment of the Muslim-Muslim ticket should not be criteria for electing leaders.
The lecturer said religious matters have become secondary to many Nigerians who only want to be served with good governance and dividend of democracy.
It would be recalled that the APC presidential candidate for the 2023 election who is a Muslim, on Sunday announced a former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, who is also a Muslim as a running mate, a development which is still attracting many criticisms across the country.
