A Lecturer of History in the Obafemi Awolowo University, Professor Solomon Okajare says since independence in 1960, there has been traces of slave trade in Nigeria.
Okajare who featured on Eyi Ara yesterday claimed that people append their signatures to become slaves in this era in western countries.
Also reacting to the discourse on humanity, a Public Affairs Analyst, Febisola Oladipo, said human trafficking is a punishable offence when an adolescent lives with a person without being sent to school or allowed to learn a trade.
She however noted that hopes are high that human trafficking will soon come to an end in Nigeria.
