The Factional Chairman of the Social Democratic Party, Dele Ogunbameru says his Congress, which he hopes would usher in a new executive committee of the party in Ondo State remains the legal and viable arm of the party in the State.
He made this known while featuring on Crest Fm’s Political Programme, The Platform.
Ogunbameru stated that despite rumours and scheming by the suspended stalwart of the party, Olu Agunloye that his tenure has ended and replacing him with another state chairman, his tenure ends today and according to the constitution of the party, the organization of the elective Congress lies on him.
It would be recalled that the embattled chairman, Stephen Adewale had earlier issued a press release warning people to desist from taking part in the purported congress, stressing that the congress that brought him to office on the 19th of April, 2022 remains the authentic congress.
He added that one of Ogunbameru’s cohort, Sola Agboola who’s is also purported to be part of the congress which Adewale tagged as illegal had been suspended by the party.
