A former Senator from Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sanni has accused the federal government of paying lip service to the menace of insecurity bedeviling the state and the country in general.
Sanni, who was speaking on Crest Breakfast Show against the backdrop of reports that bandits have threatened to run a parallel government in Kaduna State, condemned the Federal Government’s insincerity the fight against insecurity.
The former lawmaker bemoaned the fact that the security status of the cosmopolitan state wouldn’t have degenerated thus far if the government had heeded his several warnings, right from the time he was at the senate, rather than seeing it as something coming from a political enemy of the state then.
In his view, a retired Brigadier General and Commandant of the South west Security Network code named Amotekun in Ekiti state, Joe Komolafe, explained that the issue of state and regional policing might be something the entire country would eventually have to embrace to prevent further decadence of its security.
Komolafe however expressed belief that all elements of insecurity in NIgeria will be totally demystified as this was just a phase which most countries of the world had witnessed at a time in their history.
