A security expert and consultant, Mr Ladi Thompson has said Nigeria needs to re-strategize its approach towards the war against insecurity to measure up and reflect that of its enemy which has since been reworked to ensure the country is not a safe haven.
He made this submission while speaking on reports that about 243 military personnel were proceeding on early resignation and retirement, amidst protest relating to poor welfare by some security personnel in Kwara State, on Crest Fm’s Programme, The Breakfast Show.
Thompson noted that it is high time the country began to out-think their enemies who have since devised other means to try and make life unbearable for everyone in the Country.
Setting an agenda for the person that is expected to take over the reigns of affairs of the country in 2023, Thompson suggested that whoever will lead the country next, must make security his topmost priority with a view to create a modern, sophisticated way that can make everyone live in peace which will be the bedrock of any other thing Nigerians may so wish for.
The Security Consultant also clamoured for an intentional move to educate the whole citizenry with special focus on youths whose mindsets can be easily hijacked.
