The former state youth leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Ondo state, Mr Olutayo Babalayo has accused the chairman of the party in the state, Ade Adetimehin of being the chief harbinger of the crisis rocking the party in the state

He made this known while featuring on Crest FM’s programme, The Platform, where he noted that the APC had barely has a smooth run in major elections involving the state due to his partisanship’

Addressing the Independent National Electoral Commission’s insistence to opt out Senator Ahmed Lawan’s and Senator Godswill Akpabio’s names from the list of candidates that will vie for senatorial election in 2023, Babalayo said it would be unfair if politicians think they can pick up tickets to contest an election after losing out of the contest for another automatically.

It would be recalled that a number of litigations arose from the primary elections of the APC, particularly in those involving aspirants and candidates of the party in Akure North/Akure south Federal Constituencies, Akoko South East/Akoko West federal constituencies.
