A Social Commentator and Public Affairs Analyst, Dotun Ojo, has described the release of former Governors John Nyame and Joshua Dariye as a move that might show Nigeria’s insincerity in the fight against corruption to the entire world.

Ojon, who made this assertion while speaking on Crest Breakfast Show, explained that the way past leaders are being freed after they might have been convicted of corruption is like punishing someone with an opening for them not to possibly show remorse by way of pardon.

He decried the fact that such move might eventually project a bad image, not only for Nigeria but for Nigerians as well when they visit other countries.

It would be recalled that the former Taraba and Plateau State Governors were earlier jailed following their conviction over corruption charges, after which the council of state extended pardons to the former Chief Executives.
