Former ASUU National welfare secretary, Professor Ngozi Iloh says the federal government has demonstrated incompetency and failure in handling the lingering nationwide strike in the country.
Speaking on the crest breakfast show on Friday, professor Iloh said the federal government should be held responsible, against claims that Nigerian students should hold ASUU accountable over the strike.
According to the lecturer, ASUU had overtime shifted ground and compromised for the sake of students, but would not call off the ongoing strike until the federal government fulfils its end of the bargain.
Iloh also accused the federal government of being wasteful, in managing the country’s resources, making it hard to budget enough funds for the educational sector.
