A member of the State Universal Basic Education Board SUBEB, Saka-Yusuf Ogunleye has attributed the lackadaisical attitude of some teachers to work as a reason for stopping the automatic promotion of teachers in the state.
While featuring on the Crest Breakfast Show, Eyi Ara, Saka-Yusuf condemned the wrong attitude to work which in turn affects the performance of pupils in class.
Reacting, the Chairman of the Parent Teacher Association PTA in Akure South local government, Prince Kole Ibitoye applauded SUBEB for the development but urged the state government to provide an enabling environment.
Recall that Ondo SUBEB recently declared that promotion of public primary school teachers would be based on performance and not automatic.
