In preparation for the 2023 general elections, the head of national orientation agency (NOA) Ondo state chapter, Adelayo Afolalu has reiterated the agency’s commitment to maintain working relationship with key stakeholders in the country to ensure citizens are sensitized on the need to exercise their franchise during elections.

While speaking on the crest breakfast show today, Afolalu opined that Nigerians are beginning to have confidence in the polity, added that the agency is also working tirelessly to encourage elites to turn out in mass to vote peacefully during the 2023 general election.

On security, the NOA boss stated that the agency is also working closely with security agencies and other state actors to ensure the safety of lives and property during and after election, urging Nigerians to shun violence and vote buying.

Also speaking, a social commentator, Henry Olonimoyo opined that 2023 general election will make a land mark in the history of election in the country, provided the federal government is willing to prioritize the safety of voters.

Olonimoyo who described electioneering as a priority, however challenged the presidency to ensure he keeps to his promise of ensuring a peaceful 2023 general election in the country.
