Former lawmaker Representing Irele/Okitipupa Federal Constituency, Honourable Mike Omogbehin has advised the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Bamidele Oloyelogun to step down from his role at the Assembly over allegations of misappropriation of funds.
Omogbehin made this known while featuring on Crest’s Oro Oselu, where he spoke on the Court order granting the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission power to probe the Speaker over alleged misappropriation of 2.4million naira.
Omogbehin, who described the situation as a shameful one, called on Oloyelogun to step down before things get messier than it is.
On his part a former member of the Assembly also Representing Irele Constituency, Hiniurable Afolabi Iwalewa, noted that such an issue should have been dealt with internally by the assembly.
It would be recalled that the Speaker, Honourable Pelemo Gbegudu and other officer of the Ondo State Assembly were alleged to have misappropriated the sum of 2.4 million naira.
