A former Anambra state Chief Judge, Professor Peter Umeadi, has applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for what he called a nice outing at the recently concluded Ekiti and Osun state gubernatorial elections.
Justice Umeadi gave the commendation while speaking on the state of the Nation on Crest Breakfast Show today.
According to him, restructuring will truly solve the Nation’s problems to a large extent, but more attention needs to be on the attitudinal change of the citizenry.
The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), also called for proper separation of powers among the three tiers of government in the country, to engender all round development.
Umeadi lamented the worsening security problems in the South Eastern and Northern parts of the country which he said may constitute a huge threat to the forthcoming general elections.
He condemned the federal government for not fulfilling the agreement it willingly entered into with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), describing the situation where lecturers use their personal resources to train the students as appalling and unacceptable, hence, the need for the government to do the needful.
