The current socio-economic challenges and rising insecurity in Nigeria may persist unless the country finds a solution to decentralize every sector of the Nation’s economy.

A former Police Affairs Minister, Abduljelili Adesiyan who made this assertion while speaking on the Crest Breakfast Show, said only restructuring can solve the nation’s multifaceted problems.

Adesiyan added that some snitches are sabotaging the efforts of security agencies by providing information to terrorists and bandits threatening the peace of the country, thereby making security agencies overwhelmed.

He charged the Federal Government to be sincere in its acclaimed war against insecurity and stop paying lip service to its sole responsibility of protecting lives and property of all citizenry.

The former education commissioner in Osun state, also decried the continued industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), asking the government to invest in the nation’s education sector.
