A Former Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) board member, Mr Benson Enikuomehin has argued that oil producing communities in Ilaje local government qualify Ondo state to be part of NDDC.

While speaking on the Crest breakfast show yesterday said that some areas in Ondo state are always affected with consequences of oil exploration activities like other Niger Delta areas.

The legal practitioner stated that according to the NDDC provisions, the managing director portfolio is expected to be rotated among all the member states.

Also speaking, a Public affairs analyst, Mr Dotun Ojoun, said the NDDC budget implantation should have positive impact on the Niger delta communities.

It would be recalled that an elder stateman, Edwin Clark made a call to exclude Abia, Imo and Ondo from NDDC.
