The Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lambasted the current administration of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, saying the administration has lost its direction with the present condition of the state.
It was reported on Thursday that 33 out of 35 members of the State Executive Council passed a vote of confidence on the governor, while two abstained.
The opposition party condemned the vote of confidence, describing the development as a mockery of the state executive council.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr Kennedy Peretei, yesterday.
The statement was titled ‘Akeredolu’s cabinet dances naked in the market square.’
However, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned the PDP’s statement, describing it as a baseless attack.
The Director of Publicity of the APC, Mr Steve Otaloro, said in a statement that the vote of confidence passed in the governor was a testimony to the achievements of Akeredolu.
